Getting started
Your first route
Create an event, import a course and check it before sharing.
An event groups your courses together. For example, create “Mountain Ultra” as the event and add separate routes for each race distance.
1. Create or open an event
From the dashboard, open the Event Library and choose Create Event. Enter a recognizable name and add the description, location and dates where useful. Save, then open the event.
2. Import your course
Choose Upload GPX to this event. Despite that label, the upload page accepts GPX, KML and FIT. Optionally enter a route title, select the file and choose Import route. Wait for processing to finish, then open the route. See supported files and upload troubleshooting.
3. Review the result
- Check the entire course line, start and finish.
- Compare distance, ascent and descent with your intended course.
- Check the elevation profile and any imported checkpoints.
- Give the route a clear name and check its public/private setting.
- Open the public page and test the download runners will use.
4. Share the route
Copy the public link from Share and embed, or download the QR code. With embed access, copy the generated embed code to your event website. Public routes are available without a runner account; private routes are not a public draft preview.
Do not assume a new route is private. Check visibility before importing sensitive or unfinished courses. Free accounts use public routes outside the Pro preview.
