Checkpoint breakdown

Read leg and cumulative distance, ascent and descent for your course.

Starter and Pro include checkpoint management, checkpoint-enabled downloads, route PDFs and checkpoint CSV exports. Free provides basic checkpoint display.

Use Checkpoint breakdown below the management map and route controls to plan aid-station spacing, assess difficult legs and check your published course information.

Read the table

  • Leg distance: distance from the preceding row to this point.
  • Cumulative distance: distance from Start to this point.
  • Leg ascent/descent: climbing and descending within that section.
  • Cumulative ascent/descent: total climbing and descending from Start.

Rows follow course order from Start through checkpoints to Finish. Map-only route points can appear too. Without checkpoints, the table shows the full Start-to-Finish leg. A dash means an elevation value is unavailable; it does not mean zero.

Use it for planning

If an aid station is 18 km from Start and the preceding one is at 10 km, its leg distance is 8 km. Read the leg ascent alongside that distance: a short mountain leg may take longer than a much longer flat one.

Review changes and units

Use the organiser metric/imperial selector to change the table units. Checkpoint moves, undo and Quick add refresh the breakdown. Recheck it after a GPX replacement, route edit, reversal or version restore, especially where the course revisits one location. Scroll horizontally on narrow screens or collapse the panel with its chevron.

Share a table

Use the public page’s Distance & Ascent Table CSV for spreadsheet planning. Where available, Download Route PDF includes the map, profile and detailed table. The displayed units are used in exports.
